Port Canaveral Ranked #1 Cruise Port in the World by Global Traveler
Port Canaveral is World’s Best Cruise Port of 2019
Have you heard the great news, cruiser? Port Canaveral has been the 2nd busiest cruise port in the world for years, and we’re also Florida’s fastest-growing port. So, with all the effort that Port Canaveral puts into the entertainment, facilities, and services, it’s no surprise that Global Traveler and their readers took notice. This month, Port Canaveral was awarded the 2019 Leisure Lifestyle Award from Global Traveler magazine and received the title of “Best Cruise Port” in the world after their annual readers’ survey.
Global Traveler is a recognized popular magazine for all things leisure, luxury, and business when it comes to traveling. Every year, they conduct a long survey to get their readers’ opinions on the best candidates for different categories – including cruising. Also ranking in the official results were several other Florida ports: Port Everglades and Port of Miami. Congratulations to Florida for having such fantastic ports! You can check out other category winners at the Global Traveler site.
Port Canaveral’s CEO expressed how proud the port was to have their efforts recognized. For locals and visitors, Port Canaveral has always tried to give the best experience possible. As Port Director and CEO Capt. John Murray said, “We strive to provide our cruise partners and their valued guests with the best possible cruise port experience.” That goes for the port as well as all the services that work with and alongside the port’s cruise lines – like Park n Cruise.
Global Traveler account executive Stephanie Makowski presented the Port Canaveral leaders with an award at the beginning of the month. The category of Best Cruise Port has been added since last year’s Leisure Lifestyle Awards, and we hope that we’ll be able to capture audiences for the 2020 awards again. In the meantime, Port Canaveral will continue to work hard and provide the best service for vacationers sailing out of Port Canaveral!
