3 Ways to Start Your Trip Right: Cape Canaveral, Parking, & More!
Three Ways to Prep for Your Cruise
from Cape Canaveral: Parking and More!
Everyone has their own way to get ready for a trip, especially a cruise. Almost always, there is a list of what to finish before you sail away. That list might be something as simple as two or three things – or maybe it’s a full calendar of day-to-day to-dos that have to be completed! Whether you have a strict or loose method for getting ready for your cruise, here are three must-have items for you to do before any cruise that you go on! As you can imagine, these work for any cruise, not just a Port Canaveral cruise. Our list ranges from Cape Canaveral parking to finance tips.
1. Find Those Travel Documents!
You may be asking: “Do I even need a passport to cruise with my cruise line?” Maybe, maybe not. However, you’ll want to bring ALL your important travel documents in case you need them in an emergency on your cruise. This doubly goes for Port Canaveral cruises since most of the cruises that go out of our each cruise terminal are international. Travel documentation includes items like your passport – these need to be renewed occasionally, and this can take a long time. So, don’t wait til the last minute to check on your passport! Give yourself two or three months to clear up problems with your passport and other travel documents. They won’t let you onto any cruise ships if you need a passport and fail to arrive with it. That’s right: remember to PACK your passport, too! Otherwise, you’ll go no further than the parking area for your cruise.
2. How’s Your Cape Canaveral Parking Situation?
Yes, we DO write about cruise parking for Cocoa Beach, Port Canaveral, and all the beautiful tourist areas in Brevard. But, that’s because it is our area of expertise, and we want to make sure that you get the best deal on your Cape Canaveral parking! If you want to know what to look for in a cruise parking service – like an air conditioned shuttle service, 24 hour security, and the best people to park your car with – then hop over to this article. Otherwise, today we are telling you about the benefits of booking early.
Whether you’re cruising with Royal Caribbean or Carnival, you’re probably booking your cruise pretty far in advance. This is good because it means that you can start booking OTHER things early, too, like your parking. Finding a good parking company and booking early means that you’re more likely to be able to take advantage of discounts, early-bird deals, and off-season pricing. Better deals means more money in your pocket, right? That’s always good news! In addition, you won’t have to worry about having a hard time parking in the busy season. If the parking lot is filled up, it’s okay – your spot was reserved three months ago!
3. Calling Your Bank Beforehand
What’s worse than spending too much on a souvenir? Not being ABLE to spend too much on a souvenir because (gasp) you forgot to call the bank and tell them you were traveling. Don’t worry, it has happened to the best of us. The easiest way to avoid this irritating problem with your credit card is to call the bank one or two weeks before you leave and let them know which dates you’ll be traveling on. It just takes a couple of minutes and it’s totally worth not having to do it on the fly in the Caribbean. You’ll save time and money by taking care of this way in advance!
These three things can save you not just time and money, but also your whole trip! It’s good to always be prepared when traveling far away or going on expensive trips. Cruises are no exception, so we’re always happy to bring you tips for preparing for your cruise! Have any stories about your cruise prep? Want to share any tips about getting ready for a cruise?
